Ok, I've been wanting to do a compression test on my truck. Today I was bored and decided it would be a good time to tackle the job. First problem, my harbor freight comp tester doesn't have the proper adapter (knew that going in). I built an adapter using an old glowplug. It works excellent, no need to drop the steering shaft or remove anything from the truck except inner fender liners, and glow plugs:woott:.. The results are great. Drivers side all cylinders are 390PSI. Passenger side 3 are at 390, and 1 is 400.

For the adapter, I heated the glow plug and hammered out the center. Then cut down a hydraulic fitting i had, TIG welded it to the glow plug, tapped it 1/8"NPT, ground the outside down so it didn't hit the head casting, and I was ready to go.:coolspot:
