Allison 6sp: Hypertech and the Stock Ally

Ok Mike L., I would like to know if my Hypertech Set on level three is going to damage my tranny? Should I consider getting a TransGo Jr. Kit? I want to do some drag racing and sled pulling, but I am not ready to spend money on a new built tranny.( When I am ready I will step it up to EFI Live)

Hard to say. Transgo jr will help a lot but I don't think it's enough.

Mike, I only have an lb7 but ran the htech on 3 for 40,000 miles. When you redid my trans you said minor issues with c2 and c3 was pretty good. While maybe not has much hp in the lb7 isn't the Lbz/lmm alli a little stronger to start with? I may be off not really up to date on lbz/lmm power stock.

You are correct, plus the fact that the C4 clutches will wear prematurely also due to the fact that they come on a second time for 6th gear. It will take more abuse to limp a 6 speed over a 5 speed. It is all up to your right foot.
