HTT trust bearing.

I have a htt 66/71 turbo. that keeps blowing the thrust bearing.last one went 3000mi.htt rebuilt it 3 times.any ideas ???? wastegate preset at 40lbs.

Are you barking the charger a lot? That will get the bearings. Is your oil supply good?

No its not barking. other bearings are always fine.

Should be a drive pressure issue if there is no other bearing issues. need to guage it and find out how much drive pressure you have compared to boost to see what the issue is. Do you have a blown intercooler? If you have a boost leak then you will not be opening the gate when you should becuase it is based on boost and that with toast thrust bearings in a heart beat if you are running alot of hp.

I use to run that turbo a while back on my 05 I never seen drive pressure very high at all even with dozons of different style tunes on the truck.

I ran big pw and high timng and still never seen it?

Hope you get it figured out it was a nice lil turbo
