Was wondering if anyone had the tightening sequence for the 366.

Replacing the wheel with a billet one tonight.

I know the S4 series is finger tight then 110 degrees, then back off 10 degrees.

Is it the same for the 300s?

Thanks,

John

I would assume the wheel would be balanced already??

the shaft needs to be rebalanced i think is what he's getting at im pretty sure it does to thats what i was told im just sending mine to high tech for upgraded everything and billet wheel.

i asked in another thread but has anyone tried a 71mm billet in the s300 charger? High tech wants me to do that but wouldnt the wheel sixes be to close 71 on the comp and 74 on the turbine?

IMHO the S300 shaft is too small or a 71mm comp wheel. With the compressor wheel being that close in size to the turbine it going to be very prone to barking and the S300 shaft does not like barking.

I have used the same wheel in another frame/ turbo and it was pretty lazy but not too bad , but the flow #'s for that wheel are not much higher than a 66 billet so i would stick with that if it were mine .

Trent I just wanna make sure you are positive on this lol...not second guessing but....rather not have to replace the HTT

I just pulled a rough # from my head :roflmao: JK .............. that is the spec for the factory shaft / nut and remember it is reverse thread , no reason to change it for the billet wheel but you can always call who you bought it from .

Htt does not buy anything from Bullseye. I called Brandon and he had left the shop already tq specs rough off his head were around 133 in lbs. But he did say once you remove the htt wheel to swap to the billet that the turbo will no longer be covered under warranty. He also said he would like to see it rebalanced with the new wheel to be safe. Bullseye says you can just swap the wheels and most people have done this already without balancing them again. So in my eyes it's a catch 22 some might want to play it safe and rebalance some might not anyway you look at it if it's a htt turbo the warranty is no longer any good when you swap.

Before I ordered my turbo, I spoke with "Wild Bill" from Bullseye and he said the wheels can just be replaced without needing to be rebalanced. :dontknow:

X2, the comp wheel and TW are balanced individually as far as I know. Why would the TW then be out of balance because you are throwing a different balanced compressor wheel on it? IMO if they are saying they want to balance it when the wheel is swapped then they are probably trying to make an extra buck off it. I know that BW from the factory has them balanced individually and slaps them together and calls it good.

HTT does buy parts from Bulleye. Their stainless housings are Bullseye housing. If you bought one from Bulleye they would have to send it to HTT and ship from them so they get their cut out of the deal.
