Hows this pump hook up?

http://www.kennedydiesel.com/detail.cfm?ID=446 does this kennedy twin pump connect to the OEM unit in the tank or does it require cuting the steel lines that run down the frame?

These trucks have not oem pump in the tank!! Like most lift pumps I assume it is a inline pump on the feed line to the CP3!

what i mean is do they connect to the fuel pickup on the top of the tank with rubber fuel line or on the metal line on the frame like most after market pumps?

It all depends on how you want to install it. You can look at the install instructions on Kennedy's website.

well everyone i ordered the pump and it came in today. friday i plan on installing it. glad i went with the kennedy pump and like the ability to add a filter later. very happy with this purchase

Unless he changed the design, they don't self prime. Easiest way to prime them is shop air to the tank fill.

Tim, I am having a similar issue with my Kennedy pumps.

All I did with mine was start the truck and drove it around the block before I hooked up the power to the pumps.Been working good ever since
