Well I dont know what to say other than I thought I'd sign up here as I am a general Diesel enthusiast. Some of you may know me from other sites/forums (99% of time use this same name). Others who dont, perhaps I will see you around.

Ive been around diesels most all of my young life. Dont own a Duramax, though would not mind one by any means. Am on my second Dodge/Cummins, while my dad after owning mainly GM diesels up til a 6.5 bought a 6.0 PSD in 06. A few of my dad's friends have Duramaxes though, including one who shares shop space with him.

Anyhow, please dont kill me for not having a Dmax. I have been scrutinized on another forum and not allowed the title of 'member' because I do not own a PSD though my dad does. Please tell me those funky rules arent applied here (I did read the rules before I accepted them.) :rofl:

Thanks Mike.. I edited my avatar using somone elses' to show my allegiance. Hope it doesnt anger them since im just a noob here. Might make some people laugh even.

I have not had the chance to drive one (Duramax GM truck). Theres something about new diesels in general, with the skinny pedal, that I just dont like very much. Dont get me wrong I have utmost respect for all the new engine technology for all of the big 3. Though something about the electronic skinny pedal on all of em doesnt tickle my fancy. I just like having mechanical resistance there...

Sorry for a huge blurb there. LOL

Just write " I have the enemy " and you'll be fine.

Add a big spring and an air actuator for bouncing resistance to what Poltergeist posted and you can make that drive by wire feel just like old. Fill out your sig with your mods and stick around.

Well, what have you done to the dodge and what kinda stories do you have to tell about your success with it? We like all diesels really, just some of us won't admit it. :angel:

Oh ya, that reminds me. LarryJewell drove a dodge for a little while I think. I think it had a few mods done to it. It's his son's truck.

Well whats in my sig is pretty much what ive done to it. It needs a built tranny asap before I go any higher on power, and quite frankly I am actually thinking about de-tuning it for a while because I am lacking fundage for the transmission I seek.

As for success with it, nothing too fun, except today I had some kid in a tacoma look at my Iowa plates (I am currently in Southern California) as he was behind me and thinking passing me on the right would be a good idea.... To say the least I was cruising at my sweet spot (45 mph, right around where TC locks) and as he switched lanes, I let him get to the front of my bed with the front of his truck and I laid into it and just took off... Well his dumb butt got behind me again, as he knew he couldnt get past me.

We can all guess what happened then. :D

He then had the odacity to be cracking up with his buddy in the passenger seat for some reason as he pulled up to the stop light next to me and both him and his buddy looked at me and my buddy in my truck, as they laughed on.

I think the laughing ended when I smoked the intersection, only to come to another red light, only to smoke that intersection as well. :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:

Ya, that's great. The part about smoking the intersection.

I had a big ole boy in a low rider thumping the winders out of my pick-up. The good ole boy that I am lines my exhaust even with the winder of his car. I stalled it and well smoked the poor boy out till the next light ( Of course him setting till the smoke clears ). By then, I was gone and can only imagine just how much black snot he had after that.

Oh well, till the next time I get lucky. Hmm... what about that thread with what's behind the back seat? Didn't I see reference to some pretty powerful fire power? I better think twice the next time.
