Owned my '05 LLY since 2010 and just found this forum today. My truck is stock for the most part and has 140k on it. I think I am running into head gasket issues and thus surfing forums for info. I am hopeful that my problems are just a bad EGR cooler which I would like to bypass and test.

I will be back with more questions, but now.... back to work!

welcome.! i just blew my headgaskets and replaced em withh arp's and grade c gaskets. let me no if ya have any questions.:thumb:

Thanks all. I have posted a bunch over on duramaxforum and never realized that duramaxdiesels was here! I love the GM specs on this site, and I think that will come in handy when I am doing all my mods and repairs.

If I delete my EGR will I throw codes? I do not have a programmer (but I do want one, but $$$ )

yes you will throw codes, you would need ppe or efi live not to have a code thrown.
