Help: How to test DSP5 switch

i installed my DSP5 switch in my LBZ and i dont think its working. my base tune is 410 rwhp. position 1 is supposed to be a smoke tune and 5 is supposed to be a 410 race. but they both feel and look the same, definitely not a smoke tune. how can i test the switch to see if its correctly installed? thanks

i know you are supposed to see a change in voltage between positions on the switch, i just dont understand how you test this.

fixed the problem. the switch wasnt hooked up right. the wire for the signal wasnt push in far enough.
