i drove the truck twice... all seems smooth although i didnt get down on it. injectors were replaced at 60k miles. it now has 125000 miles. Its an 01 model by the way. What should i look for in bad injector issues?

smoke at idle, fuel in the oil, and hard starting when warm are the common issues.

have the dealer check the return rates......balance rates don't always tell the truth IMO

This is your best option, but if nothing else checking balance rates will at least give you an idea of a possible problem-whether it be injectors, or bent rods, bad pistons, etc.

how and with what tool are balance rates checked? also i hear mix about 01 model head gaskets... where they notorious for leaking into combustion chamber or building pressure in cooling system? by the way the vin check shows injectors were all replaced in late 04 at 65k miles or so. Its at 125000 miles now... idled great run smooth i did notice oil pressure rises and drops according to rpm

A Tech 2 scan tool from GM, EFI Live or HP Tuners tuning software all can check balance rates and possibly PPE as well but I am not sure.
