how to identify turbo??

I ahve an extra turbo from a duece and a half, its known as a whistler... How would I spec this out? How to measure it where to measure how to know if pedestal will work. How to know where power will be, low pressure high pressure? COuld it be used in an IHI twin set up?

Tell me what to do and I will post pics tomorow with measurements once I know what matters and where to measure from.

The turbo itself is off a white/herculees/contenental, I6, not sure on boost levels, I believ the only purpose to them was to cool the temps down some more than tey were about adding power.

This could be a complete waste, but it's been rollin around in my head for awhile now just curious if I could get somthi going.

I know someone here knows how to get and read the vitals of a turbo perhaps there is even a number tag or cast in that would tell me somthing?

I would think the diameters of the compressor wheel (inducer and exducer) and turbine wheel, flange size, and maybe the exhaust outlet? :hmm:

Well weather is crap here right now soni can't get down to my barn till dries up should be able to get it in the am

All know is they are a low boost turbo the multifuel a didn't like too much boost. The were mainly added to clear up smoke. I think they only added 5hp.
