Went on a trip with my toys, about 10,000-11K truck camper and boat. Since my TxC electric fans are not upto the job over about 6-7,000 I put the mechanical fan back in. Now I did go from bald 215/85/16 to 245/75/16 tires, but my MPG fell by 2-3 mpg. 10.5 -11 was average, some rolling hills, some good wind, but even when flat and calm, mpg was about 11.5. How can I keep the engine cool while towing without pulling the electric fans? I really like the HP (can feel it) and MPG (can see it $$) the electric fans give? That stock fan is way too loude also.
