Only about 6" around the house....

Did you try the Gravely out? Inquiring minds want to know...:D

Funny about this storm, all of my friends and family that poke me about living in a "snowbelt" are under 6 to 10 inches of snow (in NC of all places) and we have just about 1" here....not even worth going out to clear it...

I am very glad I picked up the Gravely. Thanks for asking. Works like a charm. Did the drive and the road all around the house for the heck of it. :)

well...I should have started plowing earlier...we have 13"+++ of snow so far and its still falling heavily. Seeing as our tractor has only 28" tires, even with the diffs locked, 350lbs hanging off the 3-point-hitch, etc its still not going anywhere...

Ive been out exploring the roads with the Beetle...every road around my house has not been plowed, so basically if anyone within 5 miles of me wants to go anywhere, Ill have to take them...those 35" super swampers love the snow. :D

well we just did our first plowing and shoveling of the station, we have 8-12 (tough to tell with the drifts) city / state plows are doing pretty good on the streets. we shoveled all the snow we could into the lieutenants 2wd dakota and pushed him over the plow bank to the clean side of the lot lol and the new guys vw gas jetta actually did pretty good! then the awd subaru and 7.3 f350 did just fine as well. i just put my truck in 4lo and the 35s crawled right up and over without any slipping :D be safe out there everybody this shit blows!

some pics. Just a reference, that first picture was taken at ~6:00 this evening...

the last picture is the only road going in and out of the "neighborhood" (more like, middle of nowhere).

........more

tractor is currently buried half way down the driveway. I made like 2 passes before all the wheels just started spinning, and then I sunk.

the first pic is one more of the main road. second pic is my truck, buried. Pic was taken about 2 hours ago, STILL blizzarding now, and will continue way into tomorrow. You can see a reference how much snow we have so far (piled on top of my toolbox)

Got about 15 to 20 inchs here where i am. Its hard to tell the exact amount cause of the driffs. When i open the door this morning there was about a 4 and a half foot driff in front of it. Going to eat breakfast and get the tractor runnin. Maybe go make a couple hundred dollars openin driveways.
