I have never put my 03 LB7 on a dyno, I have PPE HOT+2, PPE liftpump, 5'' Magnaflow, K&N in the stock box. I have ran on the track alot and always run in the low 8.50 in the 1/8, I don't run in the 1/4 cause of my stock trans. Can anybody tell me what my horsepower should be with times like this. Thanks

WOW too many variables to compare your buddies truck to your own... a built transmission in the 5 speeds could lower your ET's by a full second in some cases.

Is a low 8.50 a good time for the set up that I have, am I at the limit or can I add anything else without going into the motor.

LOL im around 650-675 hp and im still on a stock motor... BUT that doesn't go without saying once over 500hp your engine's life is drastically shortened...

Would the six speed upgrage be better than the five.

If your building your trans to race then I would not to 6 speed. You will not be able to make any changes what so ever to your TCM since it will be locked.

what type of boost are u making with the stock rods still in

shit i see just under 40 psi... guys have pussed close to 60 psi on stock head bolts. LB7/LLY rods are weaker but from the factory have the best pistons. You could put a set of twins, or a small turbo say 66mm-71mm and a stock CP3 and most likely be fine if you are moderate on the engine while not racing it. I have over 70 passes all from 575hp to 650hp or so. Trust me i cringe everytime i make a pass... i look at the 1.8th ET if im not a 7.71-7.75 ET i let out cause there is no point to stay in it if the pass will be slow:D:rofl::thumb:

is the ballbearing better because i was also looking into bd turbo 2

I love my Ball Bearing turbo but guys cry and complain that they are too much money or too much money to rebuild my turbo has been on for several years now and the shaft play is the same as when it was brand new.
