Black smoke equals high EGT's. It takes air to lower the EGT's. Or Water

I know this makes sense but I wrote a smoke tune that smoked more than this vid and I lugged it up a very steep hill for about 1/2 mile and my egts never got over 1000. I know this doesn't make sense because I expected high egts with the tune....but they are not hot :dontknow:

I went through about 3/4 tank in 90 miles I t was truck show weekend where I live and I had to show those cumapart boys whats up :rofl:

Maybe all the fuel halps cool the combustion chamber Northstar are supposed to multi-fire the injectors to help when over heating.:dontknow:

Maybe amusing, (I chuckled) but sure doesn't win people to the diesel crowd. I've never been a fan of smoke, but this is just rude to others. I'm sure someone on the sidewalk said, "dam diesels!, they out to be outlawed." Just my opinion.

Im in charlotte and the tune is on a disk back in Pa. When I get home I'll see if I can find it and post, but be advised it is very crude. I think it is stock timing with 4*** for fuel

Sweet, that sounds like a good smoke tune to me.


and yes, sometimes I feel bad for people that are behind me that have to drive through a cloud that I didn't really intend to make. But then it really kicks ass when you can smoke out some dickh#@d for driving with their head up their ass.

Great for tailgaters, but sometimes I wish I could shoot it forward to get slow moving morons out of the left lane. Drive how you want, but just because you are doing the speed limit or even over it, doesn't give you the right to drive in the left lane.
