how does everyone hook into there TCM to get a copy of the stock tune in it? does everyone hook into the diagnostic port under the dash and get to it from there? i tried it once and it didnt work for me. thanks in advance.
Hook it up just like you are going to read or flash the ecm, and select read controller. When the box pops up, select allison tcm instead of duramax ecm. then read it just like normal. Do the same to flash it.
If the TCM gives you any grief (mine does sometime) unplug the V-2 at both ends and start over. It's been my experience to just "hammer it" right from the start versus easing into the trans tune. My trans just "gets it" better. Keep in mind i have one of Mikes trans, I didn't check your sig to see what you had available.
