what all happens when a cp3 goes bad?
my truck is surging wail stoped from 400-1100rpm
and it sounds like a bad knock on the passanger side when below 1000rpm
what do you guy think?

sounds like the fuel psi regulator is bad.

My guess would be the regulator , have you logged rail pressure ?

just for grins anything fuel related always change the filter first. kind of like check the fuse before replacing the part
