Hey there new to the site, and i know this is probably in the wrong section.

As i mentioned in my first post. Looking to buy a done up dmax.

My concerns are its number of hours. It has 141000km and just over 4100hrs. Now up here in canada, lots of guys run there trucks all day long.

The guy has a lot done to the unit. And the hours are making me nervous. What problems can this bring about.

Here is what he has listed he has done. Also mentioned all fluids has been royal purple syn.

8 Inch BDS Suspension Lift, PPE Hot +2 Programmer, H&S Mini Max Tuner, Dual 4 Inch MBRP Exhaust with Delete Kit, Cold Air Intake, 52 Gallon TiTan Fuel Tank, 20 Inch Black BMF Rims, 37 Inch Toyo's 80%Tread. 100psi Air Bags. HDMI Lights.

Not sure if its worth the risk, if its ready to cav out.

Thoughts?

Thats 87613 miles for us lower 48 and only 4100 HRS is extremely low IMO unless I'm doing something wrong ?

I'm at 86,000mi and have 2280hr. They must use metric hours on Canadian trucks.

To the op that equals out to an average speed of 21 mph, not to bad for a truck that either idles a lot or is driven in town, but all in all, still not out of the norm.

Mackin: you hit the trip button after shutting off the truck, then the odometer will display engine hours for 30 seconds i believe

Ya thanks I figured it out just been a long time since I've done it! Thanks for the refresher! :D

IMO 4100 hrs for what you have in mileage is or seems to be inline with other trucks. My current OD shows like 47000 miles and 2100 hrs.

182k Miles, hour meter shows 6190. A good average on a gas engine is about 3k hours for every 100k miles, but people let diesels idle a lot more for some reason...

Mine had 2200hrs with 182,XXXk miles when I purchased it last year. I think it lived at 80mph with something hooked to the b&w turnover in the bed. It was owned by a truck leasing Co. outta Michigan. It still had the original brake pads on the front.

When dealers fix the cluster prob, they often dont make sure the hours are transferred over to the new cluster. They only worry bout the miles. Seen it a million times. Thats why a lotta trucks hrs vs. miles make it seem like they averaged 80mph(which is next to impossible)
