Hey guys, I notice my Hot+2 clearly adds way more fuel than it efficiently burns. Don't get me wrong the smoke is awesome, however, I was thinking a little more boost might help clear that up a bit and make more power without me having to up it to Lvl 4 (I still haven't installed my lift pump so I get a low rail pressure on 4). My buddy has a boost stick he took out of his truck before he sold it. Would this help or hurt me in any way, he said I could have it for a case of beer. :)

This is level 3, I am not sure from a dead stop but I checked today and passing it hits only 28 psi.

I wouldn't run the boost stick with the PPE tuner.... The boost sticks were used before alot of the tuners added boost( like the predator) If you want more boost lvl 4 has plenty

I liked the Lev 4 up tunes on PPE because it helped with more boost alot. Seemed to get the best mpg there even driving easy when towing or cruising. Nice tuner with lots of fuel though like he said. Somewhere back here it's said too much boost is a no no... 35 psi is about the best limit for factory turbo or it just makes it too hot after that.

I hear you guys I would love to run level 4 but limp mode every time I pass someone isn't a great option for me, however, if the concensus is to not run the stick, that is what I will do, I will have to wait for the power to come after I get my lift pump bolted up. Thanks for the help guys.

Ya, I'm sure, it's a low fuel rail pressure code. I have turned it down to 3 for the winter. One problem was the petcock on the bottom of the water sensor was dripping, that was definately part of it, but still not enough fuel for level 4.

PPE adds the correct amount of boost so no need for a boost stick. Also I saw a big improvement when I added my blocker plate when I had PPE. You may already have one in, I dont see it in your sig.

No I don't have a blocker, I am saving up for manifolds and up pipes :)

PPE says the boost is in their tunes to max. needed per tune.Went back and read early posts for that and boost stick is not needed with PPE tuners. I removed mine after trying it with PPE and it ran better without B stick. Lift Pump fixed the low fuel code and wow the smoke. Now it's EFI and lift pump still holding up good at 15 psi. Just wish I'd got EFI first and been done with the other experimental parts. Stick maker would have to argue the other side if it helps I guess.

My PPE has been on level 4 for a long time and I've never had any fuel issues. I thought it was more of a problem around level 6. I was also under the impression that tune 4 was pretty close to tune 3 but with added fuel. I think the boost and timing are both pretty high in tune 3. I have spiked about 30 PSI both on level 3 and 4 I dont have a blocker plate or any other mods besides exhaust and k&n cone filter.

That may be true because I can run 3 but 4 throws a low rail pressure code, didn't see anymore boost at that level.
