Question: Holset HX60

Has anyone ran a Holset HX60 turbo in the stock location in the valley? I have a 6" tall Profab T-4 pedestal and it looks like its going to be about 2" to tall to fit under the stock fire wall. I really don't want to modify the fire wall.

A fellow in my area did it using a body lift.

Yeah a body lift will probably be the best option or I would have to change it to remote mount set up.

I could probably go 1" lower if I moved my fuel distribution block. Right now the cover barely clears the FRP switch on distribution block.

I just saw a guy a couple weeks ago with one in the valley with no body lift. It's tight but he made it happen. Looked like he had a custom pedestal because it seemed like it was tilted back a little bit.

Yep I know the guy too he had to cut pedestal and angle to get it in there and it's definitely a tight fit!

this is a gt50 but only way to make it work with my setup was to build a custom pedestal spacer that is angled forward. Had to cut cowl out and cut a hole in hood. I found it impossible to get it to fit in the valley.

Yeah I was wondering if I made a custom pedestal that would move the turbo forward would work, but that's looks like a NO!.

I can't really lower it any more, because the compressor housing will hit the injector rails and line. These turbo's are much bigger than an S400 turbo!
