Hey guys. I bought a Zex nitrous kit. It hasn't come yet but I am under the impression that it is activated by a wide open throttle switch. I would like to put a hobbs switch in line to the solenoid so that the nitrous doesn't activate until a certain psi. (aka need to foolproof the system so I don't hurt the truck) I'd like to find either a 25psi switch or an adjustable switch. What does everyone suggest???

Jegs has cutoffs designed for when fuel psi drops below a certain psi for gas cars. I'm assuming I could use this only supply it with boost?

Be careful that when the engine goes from high RPM to low RPM like during a up
shift the drive pressure can spike. The engine isn't pumping air fast enough and thereto surges. This will keep the nitrous flowing even if you are not giving it throttle. You May want to use a throttle switch with the pressure switch in series.

That was exactly what I had planned.

Thanks man, I just bought this same part from Jegs. I had a $25 gift certificate and the part was 29 bucks so I figured I would try that first haha

They work good. You can wire an LED light to the load side of the switch so when it closes you can see and adjust the screw if needed.

Just wire it inline between the switch and the solenoid? That should tell me when the system is spraying correct?

Not "inline", it probably won't hold the amount of current that the solenoid draws. But tap off the power feed wire after the hobbs switch, and ground the other side of the LED.

I plan to do a plate covering the rest of the cubby where the insight is and mount the arming switch, purge button and LED on the plate. Should be a pretty clean and simple install.

I started out wanting a push button system. Now I have 3 switches, a purge kit, a fancy led light and 2 custom painted bottles. Why can't anything with these trucks just stay simple haha

Finally installed the Hobbs switch. 125shot coming on at 25psi means good buy 305/55s at 60+ roll. Yeeeeehaww.
