How much does the receiver hitch assembly weigh? Is it worth removing for weight reduction?

I want to say the stock hitch is somewhere around 50 lbs. It's been a few years since I weighed it though. As I recall, the bumper is about the same, maybe a little heavier. The stock spare was somewhere around 75, I think. Both parts of the back seat was somewhere in the neighborhood of 180 lbs.

Thanks Josh, back seat is a must then. Spair is gone already. May remove the hitch in the morning.

Carpet weighs a good amount too, bumpers can take a hike...or you could just turn up the wick a tiny bit

Going to turn it up a touch and try to lighten the load a little and see what happens.

I got bored one day and weighed a bunch of stuff, the stock hitch was 37 lbs. steel spare was 74. Tailgate was 54. Second batt-40lbs. I thought I weighed the backseat but can't find my info.

Backseat is around 155 lbs.

Backseat is out, spair is gone, will remove the tail gate,probably remove hitch in a.m.and run about half tank of fuel.
