Going to be rebuilding my 02 ally come spring time and looking for some advice.

Its got 211k on it now (never been apart) never limped (60hp tune). and I'll probably put another 15k on it before I get around to tearing it out.

I need to know what needs/ should be replaced as far as bearings, seals, bushings etc with the mileage it has....

Other than that I've got: alto power packs and pump shim, and am planning on getting a precision converter, transgo, and lockup valve.

any advice appreciated.

Put a complete Allison rebuild kit in it with pistons. Check bushings and replace as needed.

Sorry I have not called Mike, got busy at work blah blah. Anyways, if a person went with a SC stage 4 trans, would they have to replace the pistons or no?

I thought pistons were included with the stage 4 kit, something about them being cut down to increase clutch count?

I can do a lot better on the rebuild kit and it's OEM Allison with pistons.
