High IATM Temps

Hello guys and gals, I’m getting very high IATM temps. Whenever I drive the temp settles around 85-95f but if I slow down or stop they start climbing fast and can go all the way up to 165f. This just started happening and I have no clue why. I put a new MAF Sensor in, the air filter has less than 500 miles on it, and I have a new cold air intake on it from SDP
My current mod list includes
SDP y-bridge Kit

SDP intake/horn

SDP Hot side pipe

MBRP downpipe

Magnaflow 4inch Lb7 exhaust

Magnaflow Exhaust Tip 5in

PCV reroute

Starlite Tunes w/switches

Edge CTS2 Monitor

Aftermarket Up-Pipes/exhaust manifolds

Air dog 2 165g 4G lift pump

Did you just install that cold air intake? Probably sucking in hot engine bay air.

Honestly with the air intake setup you have I can completely see those hot intake temps. Your air filter/air inlet to the engine is not shrouded from underhood air thus at low speeds it will suck in what ever is easiest. Underhood temps can easily exceed the temps you're seeing if the truck is stagnant. The only aftermarket fabricated air intake that even attempts to block out underhood air is HSP but even then its not as effective as OEM or other aftermarket plastic intakes (Banks, S&B, AFE etc).

Do you think I could take take the box/shroud off of a s&B intake and mount it?
