This seems to be an odd issue and I think its the cluster but want some other opinions from those who know more or have had this issue before.

The high beam indicator light on the dash with come on about ~20 seconds after the truck is shut off and everything turned off, no keys in the ignition and doors closed. I have looked at the easy stuff, turn signal lever, headlight switch, doors unlocked or not. It will will still come back on.

The second I open the door or unlock the truck or turn the headlight switch, move signal lever the light goes out. Appears to only come on after the truck is shut down and nothing is on.

There is also a burned out bulb in the cluster that has been out ever since I got the truck over a year ago, this issue just recently started happening.

Only mods are below, has factory radio and speakers and no aftermarket alarms.

I have called a couple places that rebuild GM clusters and they haven't heard of this issue.

Any help is appreciated!

Mine does this too, but it will flicker. It's not enough to drain the batteries even after a week of sitting so I haven't tried to fix it  Also have a light out on mine, was rebuilt probably 5yrs ago.

Old GM tech friend said there's a module in the cluster that can short out, either that or the BCM. Without testing circuits thats about all he could guess.

Well glad I am not the only one lol. Funny thing it never came back on after driving it today so idk what it was. I am going to keep testing and playing around to see what might be causing it. Hard to imagine its the BCM if everything else in the truck works fine. If I figure it out I will let you know.
