HID's and housings

Well i have some 55w hid highs and lows coming soon and i also ordered some diamond cut clear headlights, which should be here tomorrow. Now my question is that will these HID's get hot enough to say, melt the housing? Stock or aftermarket?

I have had mine for a while and my stock housings are good. 55w too
