Hey guys, thinking about going with a rollpan and hidden hitch. Figure I can drop a few lbs and clean up the back of the truck a bit. My question is what to do with the trailer plug? I know there is a provision for it on the factory hitch but I'm not sure if it would just get ziptied behind the rollpan or what. I know it is a simple issue but figured I'd see what others have done before I go ahead with it.

I've seen guys cut off the factory "plug plate" and reweld it to whatever hitch they use (that's what I did with my BCH and what I'll do again when he finally sends me the replacement that was promised months ago).

This way you can mount it horizontal for that "hidden" effect if desired (as long as your trailer lead is long enough).

Thats pretty much what I figured. Stock hitch has some rust but I can clean it up and repaint it.
