I was wondering if anyone has feedback on there HID in regards to affects the lights have on drivin in snow or dusty areas or rain or fog. I am just curious. I know dRiving with highbeams on in some situations affects sight and some of the hids are just as bright. So if anyone has feed back let me know

I have 6k highs, lows, and 3k for fogs. The 3k cuts right through the snow and rain. The 6k with a 35w ballast, is almost white with a tiny hint of blue to it, but still much better than a stock halogen bulb, and does a great job in all weather conditions! If you do any i would go with that setup, maybe a 55w ballast for the highs. :thumb:

I agree, the 6k low beams have just a hint of blue to them, in some foggy conditions they can be a bit too much. The 3k bulbs in the fogs cuts right through it though. HID's are some of the best money you could spend on your truck...

I'm running 6K in my lows and fogs and I have had good luck in fog and snow with them. The rain they do great but these new highways are so damn shinny when they are wet it's hard to see the lines either way. Well worth spending 64 bucks for lows and fogs. Personally I wouldn't do the highs, if you do do the mod to have all 3 on at once. HID's take a bit to brighten up to opperate temp and if on a Dark road you'll be in the dark for a few seconds.

That's all my opinion.

I've always run HID's in my truck. I love them. I have them in the highs and lows. 6000K 55W and they work great. I did the all lights on mod in my 05 and have not had any issues. Seeing through real bad snowstorms and hard rain is an issue because the lows are so bright. I keep my headlights aimed low and that helps.

I have HIDS in highs lows and fogs with all on mod. Snow can be a issue depending on how the wind is blowing the snow around. It's real easy to live with tho. You won't regret buying them.

Do the highs too. Just do the all light on mod. You won't be left in the dark when you switch to highs.
Diodes are $1.00 at radio shack. Get the #4004 and run it from post 85 of your high beam fuse to post 85 on your low beam fuse.
