Hi to all. I'm from Gainsville, Ga. and recently purchased an 01 GMC 2500HD with a Duramax.
I must say HUGE improvement from the last diesel I owned back in 84 which was one of the 350's converted ( biggest mistake I ever made).
Anyway had just a few questions....
1. Is it normal for the engine to surge slightly when at idle? maybe 50-75 rpm. Not a constant surge but just every once in a while.
2. when accelerating hard is it normal to have to back off a little and let the trans shift from 2nd to 3rd? Up shifts and downshifts perfectly if driven normal.
