I have a friend who can hook me up with a new ATS trans with co- pilot for around 5k. Is this a good deal or should I look into getting a suncoast? Will I be happy with the Ats trans and converter? and is there a choice in converteres from ats. Thanks

Get a suncoast. U can get a suncoast for cheaper then that in some places and there not junk like the ats is.

I almost agree 100%, a Stage IV from MikeL. will cost around 4500$+1000$ for the co pilot so your a 5500$ installed with brand new clutches. I would go through Mike Everyone that has Mike's trannys here have had problems like ATS does with their extremes. GO WITH :mikelsheep::mikelsheep:

ATS should not be called junk. 5K is a great price for an ATS trans and copilot and it will probably be fine. Don't know if you have a choice of converters though.

If my ATS 5-star torque coverter wasn't so noisey I would say giv'r as it sounds like a good deal. I like my 5-star, works great, but it's just too damn noisey.

Mike's right, you don't have much for tc choices though.
