I recently did the ppe 90hp tune on my GMC LMM. Its my work truck. I went to the 160 tune today...disappointed. Part throttle is much stouter but full throttle isn't as strong...lift pump? Truck has 35k on it.

Be careful. You are pushing stock trans pretty hard with that much power. Better let it learn the power and stay away from wot in 5th and 6th gear.
As far as power... Is the fuel filter fresh? Might need to shim the fuel pressure relief valve (fprv)

If the high pressure fuel pump isn't getting enough fuel, or can't keep up with the fuel demanded, the rail pressure to the injectors drops and you will lose power for sure. I remember before my lift pump I would get better hp on lower "hp levels" because of lack of fuel.

I did a trans reset with the tune and drove it around for awhile before trying it. From what I understand 1st thru 4th is all I better try lol? Good point, I'll change the filter. Bought my truck at 28k miles and I bet it hasn't ever been changed. Thank you. Shim?
Thats what I suspect. Thanks for the affirmation. If I do a lift pump or shim...think my trans is going to be ok? It should be 7500 lbs with my tools on a daily basis and I only use it part throttle anyway except on occasion.
I ran the 160 tune on a stock trans for a long time. Wasn't till I played with Efi live that the stocker took a shit.
Well thats reassuring. I'm an A/C contractor and I bought it for work so I don't abuse it. I sure as hell love the part throttle torque though!!! I appreciate the comments by you guys that have been there.
Problem solved! Changed the fuel filter yesterday and took it out today. Have only ran it through 3 gears because of so much traffic and no place to run it but it sure seems much stronger with this tune. I am being very careful with the tranny now.
