Sry to bother you I'm new here an don't know where to go my trucks Fd up. My serpentine belt keeps running off the harmonic balancer. I've replaced all the idler pulleys an the tensioner an just bought a new power steering pump that I haven't installed yet.

Hopefully the mods will move this. But if nothing is bent or loose, I would start with replacing the balancer.

Have you watched the balancer pulley while the engine is running?

You may have some very serious issues that are causing this.....

That's what I'm thinking may be a lot more serious than you think

thank you so much for help. yes i have laid under the truck wile its running an watched the balancer spin an it spins perfectly no wiggle or anything. the only thing that seems to move or have any play in it is the power steering pump. when i had the belt off i can wiggle the pulley thats attached to the shaft in an out a tiny bit but only the shaft moves in an out. the pulley doesn't have any wiggle but still seems to through off the alignment when it goes over the fan pulley that goes then directly to the balancer but i checked that to for any play an still nothing. everything seems really solid.

Yes sir I just bought it back in November. An one day about a month ago I was showing some friends around the truck an under the hood an that's when I saw the belt split in two so I thought I just need a new belt an found out that wasn't it so.

The power steering pulley (or pump shaft) shouldn't move at all. It sounds like you will need a new power steering pump at least.

I replaced mine then pressed the pulley too far onto the shaft, and that caused all sorts of belt issues. Got it pulled back to the right spot, and all my belt issues went away. So that could be your entire problem.

Let's hope it is, at least.
