2004 Duramax LLY I believe. I jumped truck with jump box it was set in 24 volt. It will start and runs like a champ. It will not shut down with key have to pull engine relay. Truck has constant power all fuses hot. WTF

Try disconnecting the main power wire to the glow plug controller on the drivers side valve cover. Crank it up and see if it'll shut off then. If so you need a glow plug controller. Or try switching the relay you're pulling with one similar to it. Like the horn relay or something. My guess is you shorted out a relay somewhere.

2004 LLY Duramax- truck was dead so I used bad boy jump pack from work, jump has 2 settings 12 volt and 24 volt, my dumb ass did noticed that it was set on 24 volts so I hit it real quick and it cranked at a high volume. Realizing what setting it was on switched to 12 volt started truck. Pulled it in to shop and engine would not shut down with key. Had to pull engine relay to shut down. Now it starts up, runs fine, but won't shut down with key. Fuse block under hood has constant poet to headlight relay, markers are stuck on, and engine relay stuck on. Ideas? I am thinking ignition switch? Please help

I'm going to assume you need new relays (which ever ones go hot with key on) because when you applied 24 volts to those 12 volt relays, the contacts melted together and that's why the truck won't shut off with the key. I would start testing the contacts on the relays and see which normally open contacts are closed with no power on them.

Does the starter also grind when running-?? If so, pull the starter relay.

Possible a FICM and/or ECM problem. Computers don't like high voltage.

Try disconnecting both batteries for 1/2 hour. Sometimes LLY's like being stubborn.

You probably melted something. If it wasnt a relay, then it could be in the ECM, it could be in the ignition switch, it could be fried wiring....it could be anything. You have to go thru and check EVERYTHING electrical. We cannot do it for you.

Unplug 1 thing(relay, glow plug module, etc.) Until the trucks shuts off through the ignition switch. Something is feeding power to the ECM.
