Help!

Everytime I read my pcm lb7 or lly the process stops and starts repeating SAE protocol set to j1850. I need to read my pcm but I cant. Any ideas?

BTW this is a new install on my new laptop (v1)

Typically this error is caused by 1 of 3 issues.

1. Software is not up to date. Make sure you are running 7.5.3.

2. Drivers are not installed properly (My guess is that this is the case given it's a fresh install). To trouble shoot your driver install have a look at this thread, although it's V2 related, the trouble shooting guide attached within that thread should be of assistance. http://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?t=7462

3. There is a USB connection issue - try using a different USB port.

No But I can. How do you snap a shot during the read process?? The same as usual?

I did all that. Now it says the file 'ftdibus.sys' on the ftdi usb drivers disk is needed

Once you have 7.5.3 (or later) installed the driver files will be under your 'C:\Program Files\EFILive\V7.5\Drivers\FlashScan\Win-2K-XP-Vista' (unless your running Windows 98).

If your running a 32 bit Windows OS, which is most common, the file will be in the 'i386' sub directory. If you are running Vista 64 it will be in the 'amd64' sub directory.
