anyways he doesent know much bout the van and he told me last nite that his "low coolant" light turned on so he pulled over n let it cool off a bit and he checked the coolant but he said it LOOKED as it was full....should he put more? has this happpend to anyone else? should he check it once the van is completlly cold? btw its an 06 dmax 3500 express rhanks for any help

Mine did that the other day, but its topped off. Happened right after a hard launch not sure if that means anything.

I'd check it hot and cold, like Jason said, could be a sensor. It's happened before.

a constant temp once its up to normal operating temps. the dmax usually runs about 180ish. in traffic or towing it will swing a little as the engine cools or the fan operates ect.
