A buddy of a buddy has a 05 dmax he is parting out. He wrecked the truck and they totaled it. As it sits now i will probably get the bed bumpers mirrors. Tranny leather seats that got the captain chairs in the front and thats about all. truck has 28,000 miles on it. What is a good price to offer him for all this stuff??


P.S i have been doing some thinking lately i think a valve body and torque converter will be enough to put me in the 12's. I am planning on do that with the tranny and the stock one thats in my truck now i am gonna built it one piece at a time. So be prepared to see some threads about who's output shaft is better suncoast or Ats. I think i going to threw some Mich max parts at it and see how it does. So what I'm really asking here is will a valve body and Tc put me in the 12's Thats really my limit until i built the bottom end

I'd offer 2,500 for all the things you listed. As far as the output shaft.who needs it? Unless your pulling on clay with 700 hp, it's prob not necessary. Do a transgo jr. and a 1057. should handle your power levels. Just be kind to it and don't abuse it in 4th and 5th on the street. You'll need an exceptional track and some sticky tires to make a 12 sec. pass in 2wd. If anybody can do it, you can. Go for it.

Thanks for the reply steve. that what i will offer him. Also when i do the built tranny i should do it right the first time i wanna make sure the tranny will handle anything i throw at it

I will have to check. I two am interested in the motor. If my money situation aint good i will get with u. Steve do u think i should run a deep dish pan

i Don't have one. If I was doing extreme towing, I would consider it.

If your going to pull it I'd put all the oil capacity on it you can.
