Guys,
I was hoping someone has gone through this decision

Probably going with the tuff country 4" since it has a very small track width increase and pretty cheap. For now I am leaving my stock wheels

17x7.5 +28 offset
I have 35x12.50 trails grapplers installed currently

Obviously I'm going to hit the spindle. Do I go with a quarter inch or half inch spacer (will that be enough) or go with a full 1.5" spacers with a new set of studs (would I be eating into my fenders too bad at full lock?)

I have the large fender mod done with no rubbing with only keys cranked (rides horrible)

Don't want to go with a 6" because of my garage door

Anybody done this yet?

Just run 1.5" spacers and cut the tits off the factory studs.. Keep them torqued and you'll be fine

Your current wheel is about 5 3/8 backspace. You probably need to be around 4 1/2 to clear.

I guess my only option is 1 inch spacer and cut studs. 1.5 would be too much and the slip on styles would not be enough to clear

Exactly. But I am limited vastly by what I can do hence my coming here to ask for help. Too small, hit knuckles. Too big, not enough fender clearance to turn around.

Considering you have the 35s now id be willing to bet you can put the lift and 1.5" spacers on and be good to go

I just talked to zone and they said their lift will work with 17s and 5.5" backspacing. Guess I have been worrying for nothing. Thanks guys

BDS has a 4.5" lift that will allow 5.5" backspace on a 17" wheel. I had that setup put on my 2004 LLY about a month ago and it works well. It does space out the front wheels about 1.5". They do have a narrow track version but I don't know if you can run that much backspace with it.

I have a tuff country 4" on mine and have to run more of a spacer for h2 wheels to clear than with PYO.

Pro comp makes bracket drop lifts that dont replace the spindle. more pricey but no spacers needed
