So I have some "hypothetical" tune questions that I am curious about, and hope other forum members may help, even via a pm would be appreciated.

Quick background I have owned many duramax trucks over the years and am somewhat techie. I recently purchased my 2nd lml and love the truck. But lets say hypothetically it had some options I had questions on.

If the truck appears to have all devices intact under the hood, is it fine to leave it this way instead of doing all the pretty tubes etc? Truck runs awesome as is. From what I gather this is common and fine unless adding big numbers?
Is there anyway to read a file with explorer or scan software that came on an obdautcal device to see what may be enabled or disabled?

If said tuner is no longer in business but offers an unlock service still, is there anyway to change tire size? Or should I take my lumps enjoy my great running truck and deal with life.

If it aint broke dont fix it, I know this. But going lower tires and being able to keep things aligned would be great, as well as knowing details would be cool, but as is life is good. Just figured worth asking. Thanks all.

I don't plan on changing anything else much down the road if I don't have to. Glad to be here, one of the last surviving forums it seems that hasn't headed off to facebook.

Youre fine to leave the egr intact just unplugged. I ran mine like that for years with no blocker plates. If the dpf etc is missing then the egr is turned off. If the old tuner is no longer offering updates find a new one or start tuning yourself.

Every LML I have pressure tested leaked at the EGR, it's only been 5 or 6, but even on a new EGR it did the same thing.

I’d put a blocker plate in it. Just because the EGR is off it can open with enough pressure like snowman stated. They’re cheap and easy to put on. They slip between your up pipe and cooler
