Here's the deal:
Does anyone think that this head gasket could have been damaged by a sheared O-ring on the injector? When I pulled it apart I noticed 7 injectors had nice and clean steel near the tip. One had a brown stain coming up from the combustion chamber area and the O-ring had been sheared during factory installation. The adjoining head bolt looks to me as the rust and pits have been alive for more than a couple of months, when the coolant started disappearing.
Any thoughts out there?
