What's giving you problems? Should be able to back-out the 2 bolts and spread the cooler from the up pipe. Then insert the plate.

Spray the nuts with PB blaster and try again tomorrow, there tight. I loosened the nuts and took a flat screw driver to spread the egr and uppipe apart then slid it in. It's a little tricky. Also try to get some high temp RTV on the egr side of the plate. Put the gasket on the up pipe side.

The bolts are a PITA and so is prying it apart. I pried from the bottom and another person pried from the top.

On the LMM's I cut the bottom edge of the plate at a 45 where the bolt slots are. The Egr housing itself sticks a little back further then the flange and makes it a pita to slide the plate in, if you can't spread the gap open enough.
