Hello guys this is an awsome site.
I have recently bought a 2002 gmc with the 6.6 . I have installed a ppe standard programmer,a muffler delete pipe. no cat conv I am going to run a cold air intake , I have already done the intake air heater delete.I will run a lift pump soon.and a ppe boost valve and profab intake horn.that is the most performance i will give the truck. I want to run lvl 5 ppe tuner setting occasionally and pull a 7000-10000 lbs a few times a year up to 200 miles on flat michigan roads. with that said i hope you can help.
I am going to rebuild my trans but its a huge bite to take to go all out. my plans are either a full rebuild with the best clutchs and steelswith a fresh single disc converter and a transgo shift kit.
OR should I go with a full rebuild with new factory clutches and steels with a transgo shift kit and a TRIPLE disc converter?
Is it that important to have alto clutches and koleen steels.I have built several transbrake 400/350 turbo trans's and only need alto/koleen when we run up on t/brake or excessive street drive with high stall converter.
I am new to the diesel world so any advise from the pro's would be greatful
Thank You
