I want to put a set of raceline renegade black wheels on my truck. I want to do a 16x8 with the 285/75/16 BFG i already have. Question is what backspacing and offset am i looking for? i wouldnt mind them sticking out alittle more but not much. Im not good with this backspace stuff. i searched and couldnt find any good threads with pictures.

I have a set of M/T Classic beadlocks, IIRC I could not get the offset and backspace I wanted and they rub....:(

If the backspace is too much or too little they rub either the air dam or the inner fender by the door bottom.

I will see if I can get a measurement tomorrow, or find the receipt.

It's tight with the 285 no matter what with the 16x8 wheel

5.5" backspace you would want to keep the tire sucked in so it won't rub. The larger the backspace the father it sets in. Negative offset sticks out positive in.

A 4.5 backspacing will work great and have a similar look to stock. They won't stick out much more than stock.

a 16x8 with a 4.5 backspace? what are stock wheels? i dont mind if they poke out alittle but nothing insane. Seems like most wheels i find are 4.5 backspace.

4.5 backspace is nice what offset if its -12 or so they will stick out 1" t0 1.5" same stepup i have looks good and tbars arnt cranked much with 305/65/17 rub a little if hit a bump hard but thats what a heat gun is for and just cut the air deflector before you break it backslash on like a 32.356 degree angle.:thumb: just kidding but do a backslash and you will be happy not to much not to little
