I had a small coolant slow leak, so I finally got under the truck and found one of the hoses going into the surge tank was dripping. Also saw a very small amount of coolant that looked like it was coming from underneath the harmonic balancer? Water pump??

I also noticed some oil that looks like its coming out between the block and heads??? Head gaskets are fine, its never pushed any coolant, rad hose is never hard, etc...

im confused...

thanks
ben

on another note the valve covers are visibly weeping a bit, so would it be safe to ASSume that its dripping down from there??

Sh!t always runs down hill! Thats the way i always look at leaks! The engine fan can help blow fluids around though too;)

Ben, I am having the same problem with the valve covers seeping a little. However they couldnt leak as much as the amount of oil I lost on this oil past change. It was nearly 4 qts low, either I am DUMB and didn't fill it up or I lost 4qts. Funny thing is there is no evidence of leaking oil. I couldn't find any drips where I park. (park on concrete so it would be easy to spot) I searched all over my engine and found nothing. I hope that I am not burning that much oil in 3000K miles?? It should be smoking pretty heavily white? Right? And finally what about the low oil level sensor shouldn't I have gotten an idiot message?
