last night i finish installing my egr plate and the shim mod and went for a ride and i threw two codes P0700, P0746, can someone tell me what these codes are, what caused them and what to do i need to do to fix them. when the truck threw the codes it locked the truck into 4 gear it would go into p,r,n. any imput much appreciated!!!!!!

Sounds like you found limp mode.
The p0700 is the tcm telling the ecm there is a problem and light the cel.
The p0746 is a stuck silenoid not allowing a 4-5 upshift. My truck threw the 746 a while back and I think in my case it was tuning related....but not 100% sure.

mike i have pulled it once and i have pulled a 28ft trailer here and there other than that i just drive around on level one with my edge programer but i do turn it up to level 5 now and then. not really sure what info u need mike but i try tell u what ever i can

Mine set this code while I was racing it, hammered it hard in 5 :angel:, downshifted to 4 and then wouldn't upshift......I had about an ~80hp tune in it.

P0746 indicates that there was a slip during a shift. The TCM computes this by way of the turbine speed sensor and output speed sensor ratio's being incorrect. An on coming clutch was not fast enough to lock in gear most likely. Maybe time for an upgrade.
I'm working on putting a tune in a 4500 Kodiak for a guy I know, and I'm having a problem with the truck throwing this P0746 code. The tune isn't real big, 2100 uS max, and the code is being thrown when the truck is already in gear with the converter locked. Is there something else going on?
