Ok so I want to get the 09 to run as close to 12 flat as possible, what motor mods would I need? The truck runs consistently @ 13.10 and had a best run of 12.95 on stock motor, injectors and turbo. It looks by some of the online calculators I would need a little over 800hp @ 7200lbs, any help would be appreciated.

I did it with a Billet S475 and 60 overs. I'm a few hundred pounds lighter but I think a turbo and injectors will get you really close. Definitely will get there if you add a stroker pump with the turbo and injectors.

No other motor mods? I want it to hold together doing 200 to 250 launches a year. Just wondering if I need to do head studs and rods or any other mods to make sure it will hold together.

I sure would, esp trying to do it at that weight. A stock engine wont make it that many full power runs.

I went 12.23 with a stock lly turbo, 10mm pump, 100% injectors, and on 420s on 20" rims. My truck weighs about 7100 with me and some pulling weight thats not very removable.

Buy one of marks 68mm stg2r turbos.

I'm running 7.8s in 1/8th which calculates out to 12.2-12.3s in 1/4. My setup is in sig. I also have all the little bolts ons that go with the territory. Good luck.

Shed some weight :thumb: is it really 7200? Is the lmm that much heavier my 02 is only 6750

Yep 7200 with 1/3 tank of fuel and driver.

Sounds about right. My crew cab lon bed is pushing 7400 with me in it.

Turbo and injectors will do it but just like anything else. Your pushing your luck.

I think you will hurt something else before you need head studs at that point. I know of a guy over on the DF that ran the shit out of a LMM with a S475 and injectors on kill and never hurt it. Stock long block also.

I gave up on weight for speed. My truck with nothing in it but my 250lb ass, and 5/8 of a tank of fuel, was 8000lbs on the scale. My only options to drop weight are to loose my winch and both big assed winch bumpers, and I'm not ready to make that change... Except when Kyle shows pics of his lmm loaded with cheaters; sexy!

Edit: I have considered going to lighter wheels though. My Boulder h2's are heavy as hell.

^It was amazing how much harder my truck pulled with 275/55R16 M&H drag radials on PYOs vs 35x12.5 on lml 20"s
