LLY: Help! New to diesels, mines now throwing EGR codes

Hi all, I've had my 06 for about a year now and have had very little trouble. It threw a P0401 code a while back, the dealer said they went through a procedure to clean it. 6 months later its throwing more codes P0403, P046C, and U1026. Now no warrantee, for the most part anyway as I'm down to just engine warrantee. What should I do? I hate bastardizing my truck, but are there fixes I can do at home? I am mechanically inclined...just new to diesels.

Help if you can

:hello: and :welcome5:

You could most likely put a EGR blocker plate and then just get a programmer to shut off the EGR codes.

Not sure what the transfer case issue is.

Besides your motor not sucking in soot. No. I had my intake off here awhile back and could not not believe the amount of soot and gunk that had accumalated on the inside.

Edit: Kat beat me too it and even provided a link.

Welcome

If this is an 06 LLY you need to get a LBZ blocker plate and finger stick. Its what Pat calls a fake LLY.:)
