I have been searching all over this forum for a post that was made about Horsepower vs weight vs 1/4 mile times. It would give you a good idea of what you would run in the 1/4 mile if you knew your RWHP and your weight. It is probabaly a sticky somehwere and I can't find it. Thank's

I'm writing one as we speak. There are hundreds out there, I want to make one that is more diesel specific.

I thought you had one allready? Maby I can see the future and I don't know it. 600RWHP 1200ft lbs and 6700lbs is my goal. I think I'm pretty close.

i agree most that i've seen are off a little i think they make the assumtion that 100 lbs will take off a 10th and you guys are the ones that discovered that it takes 200 lbs . but it will get + or - 50hp .

The one you listed put me a little over 13 seconds in the 1/4. I hope it's a little faster than that.

I've found that most of the ET calcs are written for automobiles and arent very accurate for our trucks.

I inputted my race weight and known rwhp into the one Trent linked to, and it says should run a 13.54. Um, no.

The one at CompD is one of the best I've seen for our trucks. My times are pretty much spot on for what I've dynoed.

doenst work too well for 2wd guys...

~500rwhp @ ~7000 is low 13s with a good launch

HTT+ efi live should put you ~600-650ish at the tires pending you cp3 mods and what not

Hey, thats ok. It was good for a giggle.

That CompD one is pretty close.
But I'll faint dead away if my truck is really putting 564 to the ground! Guess I'm gonna have to start looking for returnables to afford the rods next year.

The formula I have seems to work better than the CompD one, I just don't know how to write internet code. I'm trying to teach myself how. It works fine in BASIC. It hits our trucks within about 1%.

Well then, lets get to it. Trucks "race weight" with me in it is 6820. That's with the tool box and tool in the bed, the spare tire and the tail gate on and a full tank of fuel. Still running 3:73's. I can only guess 600 HP and 1200ft lbs but it is probabaly pretty close. It was 506hp with a PPE on level 10 but it now tuned by, you no who. Tire size is 285-75/16. Did I miss anything?
