Alright SOOO my buddies lly has been having some problems. We thought it was the injector harness problem but after we replaced ALL the injector harness's it still does it. Throughs the same codes for #2, and 7 harness's. sometimes others. But the thing is it only does it in the morning when he first starts it up. But after he starts it and let's it warm up then shuts it off and back on it runs normal, no knocking and running like crap. Any ideas???

Mine just did this, although mine was injector wiring harness, and my lift pump pressure was too high

His is all stock other than efilive. Idk what it could be. I disabled the codes just to see if anything else would pop up but nothing. It still does the same thing though, runs like crap.

Pull up on the ficm/injector harness where it goes over the half moon section of the alternator support and take a look underneath. Common problem for LLY's to wear through the injector harness in this place. Fix is electrical tape and some heater hose. Hope this helps.

I checked that the first time and it was already off of the bracket and didn't see any work spots. Anywhere else it could have rubbed? That's the only other thing I can think of is a hole somewhere.

Whatever the #2 injector harness code is. Then it also throws some other injector harness codes. Sometimes 7 sometimes 4,6 and 8. I looked up the codes and that's what they where.

Well I told him to prime the fuel line this morning before he started it and wait about 10 seconds to start it and let me know what it does, he said it ran fine. But he has glowshift gauges (ya I know I don't wanna hear about what y'all think of them they work fine until this issue started happening with the truck) and said also ever since the truck started running bad the gauges have been changing colors on him. That only happens if they have lost connection to the battery. So I'm thinking he either has bad battery's or lose connection somewhere. Could that he the whole problem? I know on our trucks bad batteries can make all kinds of things run funny.

Bad/weak batteries and poor connections can cause all kinds of trouble. I would personally fix that first, then see if the other problems go away.

I was just checking as I hear 'injector code' can mean two different issues. Sometimes a P02xx injector harness code can get confused with a P12xx injector driver code, which has to do with the wiring in between the FICM and ECM.
