Just got done installing a Silver Bullet turbo in my 02 LB7 this morning. Truck has had the batteries disconnected and stock turbo out for about 2 months. The truck turns over, builds oil pressure, it is just not firing at all. I plugged the block heater in about an hour ago (never used it before). I jumped the truck to make sure I had plenty of juice. Checked for prime. I checked codes with EFI and it is throwing P1631- something about theft deterrent. I cleared it and every time I try to start it the code comes back. Any ideas on what I need to do, this is killing me that I got a new turbo and can't even try it out!

Check all your wiring plugins. It is possible to diable the VATTS and see if it works. I had a problem with a Ignition fuse under the hood getting loose with the cold (bad connection) and it wouldn't start. The truck thought it was being stolen and disabled the igntion. Its probable something simple like that.

I think it is something simple also, I just can't find it. I went through the engine bay and wiggled all the connections that I could find. I tried disconnecting the batteries for about 40 minutes and still have the same problem.

I don't have a laptop (I usually drive through my yard up to my living room window and throw a 20 foot usb cord out from my desktop- pretty classy huh?) So that makes it hard to disable the VATS, which sucks because that sounds like it is a likely solution for some reason. I am trying to do the passlock reset right now (try to start, leave key on for ten minutes, turn off for 20 seconds and repeat twice, then should start 4th time) I will go through my fuse block if that doesn't work and check fuses I guess.

The passlock reset worked!!!! I got it to fire up, man that things sounds sweet. I have to watch the kids for the rest of the night so no time for a road test yet. I have to go to the big truck shop in the morning to get some exhaust pieces and I should be able to see how it runs. Thanks for the ideas.
