I just threw a code 31-CKP signal fault or internal module malfunction, do i just need to replace the CKP sensor or look for something else?

You need to find a better scan tool first as a code 31 is not a valid code. Any other symptoms besides a check engine light?
sorry, the code is p0335. Its the crank shaft sensor.The truck has died a few times over the last few months only when towing. after I let it sit for 5-10 mins it will start right back up and runs perfect.
