hey guys. i am trying to fix my tow haul/ manual shift option on my lbz. i found that the wires were broken so i resoldered them awhile ago and heat shrunk them and everything worked fine. so today i went to use the manual shift option and it does not work again. so i get home and take it apart again and find the black wires rubbed through again and appears to have shorted the tcm or bcm on the metal part under the column, no blown fuses anywhere. where should i go from here? a potentail buyer is coming tomorrow and i would like for this to be fixed! thanks alex

can you short the tcm and still have it shift fine? i thought that caused a no start issue? im kinda lost here i checked the continuity of the wires going into the shifter and they are ok. Any suggestions?

Does it shift hard? I may be wrong but I think you can fk the tcm and it will shift through the range fine... But no control on pressures so it shifts hard

Got me on this one. I had broken wires for my tap shift and it set codes. Once I fixed the wires and cleared codes and it's been good since then

There is a possibility that you damaged that circuit in the TCM. There is a limit to how much abuse the components on the PCB board can take.
